These volunteers will be need to wear old clothes, gloves, sunhat and sunscreen. They will be provided with a bottle of water, an actual location of the tagging (and where possible a photo of the tags), paint, brush, rags, etc.
It is important that in undertaking their painting that they ensure that pedestrian are not hampered in their walking past the site and do not get any paint on themselves. Signs indicating the work will be available.
Please take a photo after the tagging has been completed.
This role is for only three people who have been specifically trained for the task. It will involve a chemical being painted onto the tagging by two volunteers and then the pressure water hose to forcefully remove the tags.
This is a messy process and needs to be undertaken well away from pedestrians and other members of the public. Volunteers need to ensure that the chemicals and water are not sprayed over individuals or vehicles, vegetation etc.
Volunteers need to wear protective gear (goggles, mask, overalls or similar attire, gloves and heavy duty closed in footwear), sunhat, sunscreen and old clothes. Water and the protective gear will be supplied.
Volunteers may be working on the full project from start to finish. Meet at Belmont Foreshore but be prepared to travel to other sites.
