As part of District 5520, the Rotary Club of Fort Stockton will join the “Epic Day of
Service” by hosting a food drive for Fort Stockton area food banks. Recent budget cuts by the
Federal government have impacted some food donation programs, so the Rotary Club of Fort
Stockton is hoping to fill in the gaps by requesting donations of non-perishable foods.
Donations may be dropped off at the Fort Stockton Public Library in the collection bin
by the Children’s Puppet Theater from Saturday May 17 through Saturday May 24. The library
is located at 500 North Water Street, and is open from 9-6 Monday through Friday and
Saturday from 10 am to 2 pm. They are closed on Sunday.
Once collected, the food will be distributed to area food banks by the Rotary Club of
Fort Stockton.
