Volunteers in this role will transport donated cereal from our staging/storage location to the New Milford Town Green and assist with unloading, organizing, and building the domino-style cereal display.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Loading cereal boxes at the storage site into your vehicle
  2. Drive your vehicle to transport boxes to the Green (trucks/SUVs helpful)
  3. Lining up cereal boxes in designated formation
  4. Assisting with signage placement and general set-up

This is an active, hands-on role that requires light to moderate lifting and lots of teamwork. You’ll literally help build the visual impact of the event.

Time Commitment: Approx. 1.5–2 hours before event start

Once the rally concludes, this team carefully breaks down the cereal display and transports all collected donations to John Pettibone School for storage.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Collecting and boxing cereal from the Green
  2. Sorting and stacking for transport
  3. Loading vehicles
  4. Delivering to John Pettibone
  5. Assisting with unloading and basic organization at John Pettibone

This role ensures every donated box quickly moves from celebration to families who need it.

Light to moderate lifting required. Vehicles with cargo space are helpful.

Time Commitment: Approx. 1–2 hours immediately following the event

Event Volunteers serve as on-the-ground support during the rally, helping manage crowd flow, protect the cereal display, and assist with real-time needs as they arise.

Responsibilities Include:

  1. Gently directing crowd flow and maintaining clear walkways
  2. Monitoring the cereal domino display and resetting boxes if needed
  3. Assisting with questions
  4. Supporting announcements, transitions, or countdown moments
  5. Communicating with the event lead if issues arise

This role requires attentiveness, confidence, and a friendly but firm presence. You’re the helpful face of Rotary while also protecting the integrity of the display.

Comfortable shoes recommended. Expect to be standing and moving throughout the event.
