Literacy Event

In concert with the Rotary Club's 2025-2026 district goal of promoting literacy, we are committed to creating and implementing a plan to enhance the literacy skills of the children in our communities. We plan to deliver a morning of literacy activities across the 3 communities of Old Lyme, Old Saybrook and Westbrook. Stations and centers for multiple activities will take place in  the Phoebe Griffin Library ( Old Lyme), the Town Green ( Old Saybrook), and the YMCA ( Westbrook).  We will be telling stories, reading books, playing BINGO, etc., as well as  distributing  FREE books and  FREE writing  journals for children to take home following their experiences.  For ages 5-10
