Thanksgiving in May Senior Citizens Dinner

In appreciation of the senior citizens of Eliot, ME we serve them a full course Thanksgiving meal in May.  We invite any and all senior citizens from the town to join us.  We join forces with a local hospitality company to provide the meal, the recreation department and various elder programs to market it, the local hospital to provide pies, and a local musician to entertain us during the event.  Rotarians and volunteers from the recreation department and the fire department, as well as our Rotary club, serve the meal and organize everything and then clean up.  Many who attend also take home extras for an additional meal.  This year, about 70 people came.
