Community Care: Food Distribution & Health Fair
On Saturday, May 10, 2025, our Rotary Club is proud to join hands with Lion’s Share Food Pantry in Jackson Heights, New York for a day of meaningful service and community impact as part of the Rotary Epic Day of Service.
Together, we’ll support the pantry’s Food Distribution Day, ensuring that hundreds of local families receive nutritious essentials in a warm, welcoming environment. In addition, we’re partnering with various government agencies to host a Health Fair, offering vital resources and services to community members free of charge.
From an operations standpoint, our club will manage all setup and logistics for the day. We need volunteers between 8:00 AM and 2:00 PM to assist with unloading food, packing grocery bags, organizing supplies, and providing clean-up support. Whether you can help for an hour or the full day, your presence will make a difference.
We ask all volunteers to uphold a spirit of kindness and compassion. Our space is a judgment-free zone—everyone is welcome, no questions asked.
Youth Volunteers:
Children ages 8 and up are welcome to join the effort with active adult supervision. Due to space constraints, we kindly ask that there be no running or playing inside the Parish Hall. At this time, we’re unable to accommodate younger children.
Thank you for being part of this important day. Your service helps uplift our neighbors and strengthens the bonds that make our community resilient.
