This year, the Rotary Club of Colorado Springs will be supporting the PLACE at their new Apartments, The Launchpad, set to welcome residents this summer!
The tasks we will be helping with will include: making beds, putting dishes away, hanging shower curtains, arranging furniture, and anything else needed to prepare the apartments.
We will have two shifts for volunteers:
9am - 12pm
1pm - 4pm.
At the PLACE, our mission is to ignite the potential in youth to exit homelessness and create self-determined, fulfilled lives.
We serve youth ages 15-25 through three programs: shelter, outreach, and housing. The Outreach Program connects youth experiencing homelessness with tools for harm reduction and supplies for survival. Our Shelter Program is a 20-bed facility that is open every day and provides 3 meals a day. Our Housing Program serves a wide variety of housing needs from temporary rent support to long-term permanent supportive housing.
We also provide individualized case management and access to any additional resource that clients may need help with, focusing on education, employment, and health. In 2024, the PLACE served over 400 youth.
