Join Summit County Rotary and Breckenridge Rotary clubs in a fun day of community service cleaning up Hwy 9.  We start at the Summit High School and work our way to the Gold Hill Trailhead 2 miles south towards Breckenridge.  Then, we turn around and do the other side of Hwy 9 two miles back to Summit High School.  We will finish cleaning around 11:30 AM.  Enjoy PBR (Pizza, Beer (or soft drinks), Rotary) and fellowship with Rotarians, their family and friends, and community members.

Meet at the SHS South parking lot at 8:45 AM.   Come dressed for cleanup.  If you can, bring work gloves and heavy duty, large trash bags.  Prizes for the most unique and most disgusting piece of trash picked up.  Please bring hat, sunscreen, and water.

RESULTS:  We had 20 Rotarians from the Breckenridge Mtn and Summit County Rotary clubs clean 2 miles of Hwy 9 from the Summit HS to Gold Hill trailhead, both sides of the highway.  The local Sierra Club joined in our Epic Day of Service by doing their own Hwy 9 cleanup for 2 miles south of the Gold Hill Trailhead.  4 miles of Hwy 9 cleaned with a total of 31 large garbage bags filled.  Afterwards everyone joined at the SHS parking lot for PBR (Pizza, Beer, Rotary) for fellowship and fun.  That was the best part!

It ain't working when we're in the mountains! It ain't working when we're in the mountains!Working hard but having fun in beautiful Summit CountyThe best part...PBR (pizza, beer, Rotary) afterwards.  Great fellowship with Rotarians and Sierra club members
