Conifer Rotary Wildfire Evacuation Route Thinning

Hwy 73 between Conifer and Evergreen is our most dangerous evacuation route during a wildfire, because many thousands of people can only escape on this road. We don't want people to die when they are stuck in a traffic jam with flames on the side of the road. Conifer Rotary is conducting a multi-day project to reduce this danger and bring public attention to the need for wildfire mitigation work in our communities, by thinning the forest for 30 feet from the edge of the road. It's fun, just working with friendly people filling trailers with branches.

Multi-day, with main first project day on May 31. Other possible dates are June 7-8; June 14; June  21, June 28-29 and July 19.
