Highway 71 Road Cleanup

On Saturday, May 16th at 9:00 a.m., we’ll be cleaning up our newly adopted three-mile stretch of Highway 71—from the Highway 26 junction near Maverik to Lake Minatare Road.

The Nebraska DOT provides all the supplies—litter bags, safety vests, traffic signs, and trash disposal. All you have to do is show up ready to help! We’ll meet at the Scotts Bluff Country Club parking lot, divide into teams, and begin the cleanup.

What to bring:

• A hat and long sleeves for sun and insect protection

• Water and a small first aid kit

• Heavy-duty gloves and sturdy shoes or boots

After we’re finished, we’ll head back to the Country Club for a free lunch and beverages. The more volunteers we have, the faster the job gets done—and everyone is welcome (kids under 15 must be accompanied by an adult).
