Centerville Park Project
Imagine a beautiful park with a multitude of recreational activities just outside of Townsend, Montana. Broadwater County has made available a 10-acre parcel of land to the Broadwater County Parks and Recreation Board, with a vision to develop it into a vibrant, multi-use recreation area.
The land is currently undeveloped, and local Rotarians, in collaboration with members of the Parks and Recreation Board and the BCDC Trails Committee, will spearhead the initial grounds cleanup. The focus of the EPIC Day of Service will be clearing approximately three acres of trees, including limbing, removing fallen timber, clipping saplings, and moving debris into slash piles. Additional efforts will include removing barbed wire fencing and collecting trash.
This initial phase will lay the groundwork for continued development over the next two to four years. It’s an exciting opportunity for Rotarians to play a foundational role in creating a space that families can enjoy for generations to come. As the park evolves, the Rotary Club of Townsend plans to install a peace pole and create a welcoming seating area where visitors can reflect and take in the natural beauty of the surroundings.
Lunch will be provided!
