Happy Skies - Mental Health Field Day & 5K

Child Sex Trafficking is a major issue in our city of Las Vegas. Foster children are the most vulnerable to being trafficked. This event is designed for children of all ages, but we've made an extra effort to encourage and support our at-risk-youth (in foster care, or unplaced) to come out. We want to share these tools and show them the love that exists in community.
We believe that engaging in PLAY, either outdoors or in nature is one of the BEST ways to support brain health and life-long wellness. Our Happy Skies - Mental Health Field Day will be a day of curated activities to teach how to reduce stress, enhance mood, strengthen relationships, and foster resilience. Open to all of our Las Vegas community, we will have 12 stations, one for each mental health tool. Upon arrival, each attendee will receive a Strong Mind Passport to help guide them through the park full of activities.

This Mental Health Field Day is more than just fun-- it's backed by solid science. Research shows that play and time outdoors combine to improve mood, lower stress, and strengthen social connections. Our hope is that people can enjoy the day, but take lasting lessons home with them. These tools can be used anytime and anywhere. By bringing people together in a public park to play, laugh, and connect we are reminding everyone that they wield the tools to champion their own happiness. Better mental health and stronger communities allow us all to breathe easy and smile big. (Deep breath)...ahhhhhhh!
