Hearts & Minds Activity Center-Gala in the Garden

Our friends at Hearts & Minds Activity Center have their annual “Gala in the Garden” coming up on Saturday, May 16, 2026, from 5:00 pm - 7:30 pm at their San Jose campus (2380 Enborg Lane, San Jose, CA 95128). They’ve asked whether our club could provide a few volunteers to help ensure the evening runs smoothly.

We’re looking for Rotarians (and partners are welcome) to help with setup, event support, and cleanup. The current volunteer needs and timeframes are:

• Morning setup: 9:00–11:00 am (ideally 5–10 volunteers)

• Event support: 4:00–7:30 pm (ideally 5 volunteers)

• Cleanup: 7:30–9:30 pm (ideally 5–10 volunteers; work may finish earlier depending on turnout)

Cleanup is expected to take at most about 2 hours after the event ends at 7:30 pm, but as always, more hands make lighter work, and there’s a good chance things will wrap up sooner.
