Event Highlights and Schedule:

Bird Walk (8:30 am – 9:30 am)
In celebration of spring bird migration and World Migratory Bird Day, join us for a free guided bird walk to learn about the interesting birds that live at the beach and those that migrate through our area each year, with avid birder Dave Tourchin of Bird Friendly Hamilton-Burlington. Bring binoculars if you have them (there will be a few pairs available to lend out). A BFHB information table will also be onsite all morning, where you can learn about ways you can help conserve birds.

The Four Sisters of Mother – A Teaching by WhiteEagle (9:30 am – 10:00 am)
Bring your beach blanket or chair to join together with other community members for story telling, reflection and connection led by WhiteEagle, Indigenous Healer.

Beach Litter Clean-up (10:00 am – noon)
Learn about plastic pollution and help remove litter, plastic waste and debris from Burlington Beach, ensuring a healthier habitat for wildlife and a cleaner shoreline for all to enjoy.

Fun Eco Activities for all ages (10:30 am – noon)
Get hands-on with fun, drop-in family-friendly activities such as making pollinator-friendly seedballs, sharing your eco actions as part of our interactive campaign, and nurdle discovery activity.

Why join?
Connect with like-minded community members, learn valuable locally-informed insights into reducing your carbon footprint, and have fun while giving back to local nature!

This FREE event is open to all Burlington community members who care about the environment and is a local community offering as part of Rotary International’s Epic Day of Service 2026.

Let’s build our awareness and take action to protect our local environment and the planet.

Activities are outdoors, rain or shine. Participant accessibility needs to be shared in advance with BurlingtonGreen, please.

See you at the beach!
