Street Clean-Up
As part of the Epic Day of Service on May 17th, the Rotary Club of Surrey-Newton is proud to partner with UBC students from the NextGen Canada organization for a meaningful community service project. Together, they will be taking action to clean up the stretch of 152 Street between 68 Avenue and 72 Avenue in Surrey, BC.
This local initiative is part of a global movement under the theme “A Day of Service, A Lifetime of Change,” which brings together Rotary clubs, partners, and volunteers from around the world to make a collective impact through acts of service. By joining forces with NextGen Canada, a youth-driven organization focused on civic engagement and leadership, this project highlights the power of intergenerational collaboration in building cleaner, safer, and more connected communities.
Through this joint effort, volunteers will not only improve the local environment but also inspire others to take pride in their neighborhoods and recognize the lasting value of community involvement. The Rotary Club of Surrey-Newton invites everyone to imagine the impact when thousands unite in service — and encourages others to get involved and be part of the change.
